Account & Profile
Your MCCompanion account ties together your app, your Minecraft identities, and your social presence.
Creating an account
You can create an account in two ways:
- In the app: Download MCCompanion on Android, iOS, Windows, or macOS and follow the on-screen registration.
- On the website: Go to mccompanion.net/register to register directly from your browser.
Username rules
- 3 to 20 characters
- Lowercase letters (a–z), digits (0–9), and underscores only
- No spaces or special characters
- Must be unique — usernames cannot be changed after registration
Editing your profile
Open the My Account tab in the dashboard or your profile screen in the app:

Linking Minecraft accounts
Linking your Minecraft accounts lets other players find you and unlocks the relay modes.
Xbox / Bedrock
- Open the app and go to Profile → Link Xbox Account
- Follow the Microsoft device-code flow. Sign in with your Microsoft account.
- Your gamertag and XUID are stored and shown on your profile.
Java Edition
- Open the app and go to Profile → Link Java Account
- Follow the Minecraft device-code flow. Sign in with your Mojang/Microsoft account.
- Your Java username and UUID are stored and linked.
You can link multiple accounts of each type. Linked accounts are visible on your public profile and are used by the player lookup feature.
Account linking happens in the app only. You can view linked accounts on the website dashboard, but cannot add or remove them there.
Subscriptions and tracker slots
The number of servers you can track depends on your subscription:

Roles
Your account can have additional roles beyond the default user role:

partner | Server owners listed in the Featured Servers program |
admin | MCCompanion staff |
Roles are granted by an admin and visible in the dashboard.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from the app settings. This permanently removes all your data including profile, friends, messages, and tracked servers.
