Skins
MCCompanion includes a full skin manager. Browse thousands of community skins, upload your own, preview them in 3D, and apply them to your Bedrock account.
Browsing skins
Open the Skins tab in the app to browse the skin library. You can:
- Scroll through popular and recently added skins
- Search by name or category
- Preview any skin in 3D before saving
Applying a skin
- Tap any skin to open its preview
- Tap Apply to set it as your active Minecraft skin
- The skin is applied to your linked Bedrock (Xbox) account via the Geyser skin system
Applying skins requires a linked Xbox/Bedrock account. See Account & Profile for how to link one.
Uploading a custom skin
- Go to Skins → Upload
- Select a
.pngfile from your device (64×64 or 128×128 pixels) - Choose the skin model: Classic (4-pixel arms) or Slim (3-pixel arms)
- Tap Upload. The skin is saved to your library
Custom skins are stored in your personal skin library and can be applied at any time.
Skin editor
The built-in skin editor lets you modify any skin pixel by pixel:
- Tap Edit on any skin in your library
- Use the color picker and brush tools to paint
- Toggle between body parts: head, body, arms, legs, and outer layers
- Preview changes in the live 3D viewer
- Tap Save when done. The edited skin is saved as a new entry in your library
Skin library
Your saved skins are stored in the app under My Skins. From there you can:
- Rename skins
- Re-apply a previously used skin
- Delete skins you no longer need
Skin Workshop (web)
The Skin Workshop on the MCCompanion website lets you browse, upload and edit skins directly in your browser, no app required.
Gallery
Browse all public community skins. Click Download to save a skin as a PNG, or open it in the editor.
Upload
Upload any 64x64 or 64x32 PNG skin directly to your library. Old-format (64x32) skins are automatically converted and mirrored.
Editor
A full pixel editor with UV map view:
- Draw, erase, fill (bucket), line tool and color picker
- Brush sizes: 1, 2 and 4 pixels
- Undo / redo
- Guide overlay showing all body part regions (head, body, arms, legs and overlays)
- Live 3D preview updates as you paint
- Save to your cloud library or download as PNG
Editing and uploading to your library requires signing in with your MCCompanion account.
Tips
- Skins are 64x64 pixels (classic format) or 128x128 (HD, Bedrock compatible)
- Transparent pixels are supported for hair, accessories, and overlays
- Java and Bedrock use slightly different formats. MCCompanion handles the conversion automatically
