Before you start
- Add the MCCompanion friend account on your console and make sure the friend request is accepted
Steps

- Open MCCompanion
Launch the app on your phone or tablet.
- Enter your server details
Enter the server address (IP or domain) and port (default: 19132), or pick one from your saved/recommended servers.

Tap on the server you prefer and select Friends.

Tap Start Friends Mode. MCCompanion will send the configuration to its servers.

Not working?
A few things to try:
- Your phone/tablet and console MUST be on the same WiFi
- Try refreshing the Friends tab; it doesn't always update on its own
- Restart Minecraft and enable Friends mode again before rejoining
- Double-check that the MCCompanion friend account is accepted, not just added
- Xbox requires an online multiplayer subscription, PlayStation requires PlayStation Plus, and Nintendo Switch requires Nintendo Switch Online, to connect to online multiplayer servers
- Double-check the IP and port (default: 19132)
- Make sure the server you are trying to connect to allows Bedrock players to connect
If your friends can see the world but can't join, it's usually a NAT issue on their side. Ask them to check their network settings or try a different connection.
